6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Tenaya Middle School
760 W. 8th Street

Tuesday, May 19, 2015

Senior Community Center
755 15th Street

Saturday, May 30, 2015

News Image

The Merced City Council Monday night unanimously appointed Randolph Stevenson Hom, 51, as the new City Attorney. He replaces Greg Diaz, who served as City Attorney for 10 years before becoming the Ventura City Attorney.

Upon his appointment, Hom said, “I look forward to this great opportunity to serve the City of Merced.”

In his career, Hom has defended the interests of municipal agencies and advised staff employees from the cities of Los Angeles, Hayward, and San Jose.

Water Conservation Updates

Outdoor water use is about 70% of water use per capita. So let’s all pitch in and help save by reducing our outdoor watering. Our new schedule is as follows:

  • Addresses ending in Even #’s (0, 2, 4, 6, 8) Water on Tuesday & Saturday
  • Addresses ending in Odd #’s (1, 3, 5, 7, 9) Water on Wednesday & Sunday

(The schedule listed in the City June newsletter that went out to homes with the utility bill at the beginning of the month was in error. )

  • Watering early in the morning is best, but be sure to finish up by 9 a.m. or water in the evening after 9 p.m.
  • No watering on Monday, Thursday, or Friday.
  • Remember to turn it off when it rains.
